Welcome to BioIT Alliance

The BioIT Alliance is both a standards organization and an alliance of companies focused on collaborating together to help enable translational medicine.

We are interested in answering a couple specific questions: how do you move information on the patient (DNA) from the bedside (clinical setting) to the bench (scientific research setting)? What standards can be created to speed the movement of patient information into research?

Standards

The standards work of the BioIT Alliance is just getting started, but here are a few proposed use cases:

	Data Model Standards in Biorepositories

Join BioIT Alliance

We are looking for organizations to join the BioIT Alliance and help us create standards that will change how healthcare is delivered. Member organizations come from across the spectrum of health and life sciences: universities, research institutions, biopharmaceutical companies, genomics technology vendors, LIMS and ELN vendors, EMR vendors and software technology companies.
